You’ve seen them.
A woman with designer clothes, shoes, and handbag, talking on her expensive phone and driving an unsafe clunker. Or a couple not able to pay the rent of their home but they have a new convertible in the driveway.
You don’t want to do this with your diabetes. Besides, what good does it do to have a great house, clothes, or car if you are unhealthy, sluggish, and depressed?
When you focus on your health, your body will glow with the benefits of this and you will feel happier and more confident. This is being truly fabulous. It takes a lot of hard work and perseverance but you can do it! Spend money on what you need to stay healthy. I have to pinch myself often to remember that I will improve how I look and feel if I just stick to my exercise and diet plan instead of buy the latest hair product, new jeans, or more expensive and complex make up.
If we focus on the right things, the rest will take care of itself. And try not to succumb to buying things to make yourself feel better. Instead, keep working on you, your health, your attitude, and your abilities. This will carry you further than new shoes ever could.
