If you do the following consistently you WILL see amazing results. It is nearly impossible to be unhealthy if you maintain these habits. Work slowly to implement just one at a time since you want the changes to stick.
In no particular order:
How come there exist many athletes who eat McDonald’s every day but look and feel awesome? Exercise is THAT powerful.
4. Control blood sugar
This is crucial to good health. Your number one goal should be to keep blood sugar levels as close to normal as you can. Lots of good things will follow.
3. Eat well
The fact is you need more vegetables and less processed food. You also need quality protein sources such as grass fed beef and organic chicken. Try changing one negative dietary habit per month such as cutting out sodas. Then move on to the next. In the course of a year you will not have suffered much but, will be eating much healthier!
2. Get a healthy tan
The news is out with the latest on Vitamin D. We all NEED to have optimal levels of it for good health. Diabetics in particular benefit from optimized vitamin D levels because it cuts your chances for heart disease in half. Check out this article about it. The best way to get vitamin D is from the sun. So get out as much as you can and make sure NOT to burn. In the winter take cod liver oil for the vitamin D in it. You can find the best quality cod liver oil here.
1. Control your thoughts
Quantum physics is now proving our thoughts are extremely powerful to our reality. Maybe you have seen or heard about the popular movie, The Secret. This is the same basic idea. It is important for diabetics to stay positive and kick negative thoughts out of their heads. If you think to yourself “I’m never going to get my A1c down” –you never will. So even if your A1c is an 8% tell yourself “My A1c is getting much better” and it will. Even better, constantly imagine your improved self and let that guide your actions towards making that image a reality.
Like I mentioned above, try one of these at a time and stick with it for at least 2 weeks to make it a habit. Your body will love you for it.
